See it run
A sample Claude Code session played through this mod's hooks, in your browser. What it draws is drawn. Files, network, processes and the model are never reached: each call is listed under the terminal with the stand-in it got.
It is a simulation: a mod that depends on a real answer shows what it does with an empty one.
README
inbox-count
Draws a band above the prompt with your Gmail inbox: how many conversations it holds, how many are
unread, and how many unread emails Gmail marks important. It asks Gmail every five minutes and when
you type /inbox, and shows a toast when a new important email arrives.
It reads Gmail with the read-only scope and needs three values in /config, made once:
- In the Google Cloud console, enable the Gmail API and create an OAuth client of type Desktop app. Its ID and secret are the first two values.
- In the OAuth Playground, open the settings,
tick "Use your own OAuth credentials" and paste that client. Authorize the scope
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonlywith your account and exchange the code: the refresh token is the third value.
The secret and the refresh token are kept in Claude Code's secure storage, not in settings.json.
It touches network (oauth2.googleapis.com and gmail.googleapis.com) and display (the band and
the toast). It reads two label counters and never opens an email.
