It is a simulation: a mod that depends on a real answer shows what it does with an empty one.

cost-ticker
Keeps the status line on what the session has cost so far, as /cost counts it, and adds what
the last turn cost once it ends: Session $1.23 · last turn +$0.06. Figures always carry two
decimals. With a subscription the figure is what the same use would cost on the API.
It touches display (the status line) and reads the session's usage. It changes nothing.
